Shammi Kapoor is once again being treated in Breach Candy clinic while Shashi Kapoor is once again being treated in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani healing center.

Sonakshi Sinha and Salman Khan in 'jinx' together

Sonakshi Sinha  and Salman Khan in 'jinx' together: Svelte Sonakshi Sinha looks to have irrevocably broken Bollywood's ' Salman Khan jinx'.

While no other performing artist who appeared inverse Salman Khan had supervised to become famous Hindi pictures, Shotgun's quite loved one has not just been overwhelmed with offers forasmuch as Dabangg ended up a blockbuster, but she is moreover rumoured to be charging something greater than ` 1 crore for every picture.

To begin with, Sonakshi starts shooting for Shirish Kunder's 3D extravaganza Joker with Akshay Kumar in January.

This will be followed by the multi- starrer Race 2 , for which directors Abbas- Mustan have preferred her to Kareena Kapoor, despite the film's hero Saif Ali Khan reportedly insisting that his girlfriend be cast in the film.

Up next will be Kick, an action- comedy costarring Salman, and Prabhu Deva's upcoming Akshay Kumar- starrer.

Rumours are also doing the rounds that Sonakshi could be one of the heroines in Sajid Khan's Housefull 2. Kunal Kohli wants to cast her in his next film starring Shahid Kapoor. Anurag Basu is also considering Sonakshi for his upcoming film, Barfee , starring Ranbir Kapoor.

It's not every day in Bollywood that an actress who is just one- film- old is flooded with so many offers from top banners. " Her confidence sets her apart. Everyone has noted the fact that although Dabangg was her first film and she was paired with a superstar of Salman Khan's stature, she showed no signs of nervousness. She has no camera fright," said Dabangg director Abhinav Kashyap.

" Being a star's daughter definitely gave her a headstart compared to other newcomers. It means she was considered for high- profile projects and got more leeway. It remains to be seen how she cashes in on the advantage.

However, if producers are willing to shell out over a crore for the onefilm- old Sonakshi, that says a lot," an industry insider said. Salman is known to promote new talent. However, every newcomer who has made her debut opposite the superstar has somehow never managed to survive in Bollywood.

Turn back the clock, and you realise that Bhagyashree, despite her blockbuster debut in Maine Pyar Kiya , never quite succeeded in chalking out a career in Bollywood. After the Sooraj Barjatya superhit and her now- defunct marriage to flop actor Himalaya, Bhagyashree tried several comebacks in films as well as on TV but none have had any impact.

Similarly, Naghma, Salman's debutant co- star in Baaghi failed to make an impact in Bollywood. Subsequently, she did small roles in films such as Yalgaar and King Uncle before becoming a superstar in Tamil cinema. Industry experts feel the pattern is a result of the fact that Salman's films hardly ever leave any scope for his actresses, especially newcomers.

That's likely what happened to Chandni as well. In 1991, Salman starred opposite debutant Chandni in Sanam Bewafa . The Saawan Kumar- directed film, despite being a superhit, didn't help Chandni's career and she slipped into oblivion.

" In his ( Salman's) films, girls mostly don't get strong roles. They only have to dance and look pretty," said filmmaker Jag Mundhra. Sonakshi seems to have broken the jinx that the likes of Bhagyashree, Naghma and Chandni couldn't.

'Veena Malik' criticizing Pakistani celebrity

'Veena Malik criticizing Pakistani celebrity: Pakistani actress Meera is not happy with the way her fellow actress Veena Malik conducted herself on Colors' reality show Bigg Boss 4 and accuses her of portraying Pakistani women in poor light.

'Veena Malik is acting very cheap. The way she presented herself in front of Indian audiences is not right. She is denigrating the image of Pakistani women. This is not how women in Pakistan are,' said Meera, who is in India to shoot for diector Faizal Khan's Hindi movie Om Allah.

Her liplocking courted controversy after people in Pakistan raised objections and she was apparently fined for this. But right now she feels Veena has crossed all limits.

'If you come over to Pakistan, you will see how sensible and how cultured Pakistani women are. They respect their family values and are not how Veena has portrayed herself,' said the actress who herself became controversial after her kissing scene with Ashmit Patel in her Bollywood debut Nazar.

Veena came into limelight after her name popped up in match-fixing allegations against Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Asif. She was the cricketer's girlfriend. She then entered the 'Bigg Boss' house and her intimacy with Bollywood actor Ashmit Patel caused quite a stir, sending the TRPs soaring. Meera alleges Veena's behaviour is a lousy way to garner publicity.

'She's doing all this because she is hungry for fame. She has no self-respect and is ready to do anything to become famous,' Meera said. 'She's like that even in Pakistan. She tries to copy everyone. She can never be her own self. This is not the right thing to do as there are many other nice ways to become famous. Why stoop down to cheap tactics,' she asked.

Meera claims she was also approached to be a part of Bigg Boss twice, but she refused it. 'I was approached to be the part of the show before and even for this season but when I came to know that Veena will also be a part of it, I refused,' she said.

Apart from Veena, the fourth season of Bigg Boss featured well-known Pakistani cross-dresser Begum Nawazish Ali. After Nazar, Meera featured in another Bollywood moive Kasak with Lucky Ali. After doing Kasak in 2005, this is Meera's first Bollywood movie in five years.

'After Kasak, I went back to Pakistan. Later my parents did not allow me to act here as I was too young and they thought I might just fall for someone here (India) and get settled permanently,' she said.

'Moreover, the tension between India and Pakistan also kept me away. But now I am back and hope to sign more Bollywood projects,' she said. Back home, Meera has been actively involved in charity work and has been working with former cricketer Imran Khan to raise funds for Pakistan's flood-affected victims.

'We would like to rope in Rani Mukerji for helping us to raise funds for the flood-affected victims in Pakistan. I plan to meet her during my trip here,' she said. She has also expressed a desire to do charity work with Salman Khan and his Being Human organisation.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan: Elle magazine cover 'skin-whitening' scandal

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan: Elle magazine cover 'skin-whitening' scandal: Fans of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were alternate staggered final week following the performer's skin seemed to have been digitally lightened on the blanket of a brand new issue of Elle magazine.

Now the 37 year old Bollywood star, who is broadly accepted to be the globe's by and large wonderful lady, is stated to be regarding suing the Indian variant of the title over what has been considered 'racist artificially glamorizing'. The character herself has not remarked on the scenario, but associates of the Bride and Prejudice star have stated she is 'incensed'.

'Aishwarya's first reaction was disbelief,' said one. 'She believed that these things don't happen anymore. Not in this day and age when women are recognised for their merit, and not for the colour of their skin. 'She is currently verifying this skin-whitening allegation. If there is any proof of this, she might even take action.'

Another adder: 'She is clearly the global face of the contemporary Indian woman. The last thing she'd want is to have a global image coloured by a racial suggestion.'

Neither Elle magazine or Mrs Bachan were available for comment today. The actress, a former Miss World who is married to fellow actor Abhishek Bachchan, is thought to be too preoccupied by her father, who is ill, to look into the matter further.

Fans of Mrs Bachchan were the first to notice that her skin was several shades lighter than usual, and were quick to view concerns on social networking sites such as Twitter. One wrote: ‘It’s annoying because it seems like lighter skin is always in fashion as if darker skin is something to be frowned upon.’

This is not the first time Elle magazine has come under fire over such airbrushing, and this latest storm echoes one sparked by a cover of the U.S. edition earlier this year. In September, black actress Gabourey Sidibe appeared on the cover of the title with a noticeably paler complexion.

On that occasion Elle claimed it had not altered the Precious star’s skin any more than that of the other models photographed alongside her.

Editor-in-chief Robbie Myers dismissed the suggestion of racism, explaining: 'At a photo shoot, in a studio, that is a fashion shoot, that's glamorous, the lighting is different. The photography is different than a red carpet shot from a paparazzi.'

Skin lightening is a controversial issue in India and those with a lighter complexion are often perceived to be more successful and wealthy. Skin-lightening products aimed at young men and women now form a multi-million-pound industry.

Rani Mukherjee & Vidya Balan in 'Jhalak Dikhlaja-4' together

Rani Mukherjee & Vidya Balan in 'Jhalak Dikhlaja-4' together: Jhalak Dikhlaja 4 is already having a great time with the TRPs and also now that the show has Madhuri it tends to pull people towards it.
The craze of Madhuri has only increased over the years, and one of the self-confessed fans among thousands would be Rani Mukherjee, the Bengali bombshell. Rani Mukherjee along with Vidya Balan was a guest at the show for the promotion of No one Killed Jessica.

The frame had Remo, Madhuri, Munni Malaika, Rani and Vidya in it.Rani Mukherjee was all pumped meeting her idol at the show and bowed down to her in a full namaskar posture lying flat on the ground to Madhuri, and Madhuri humbly embraced her saying her place was in the heart.

The performances on the Indian folk numbers were fantastic and as many as 3 couples pulled out a perfect 10 for the first time on the show. Rani did not leave the chance to express how much she loved Madhuri and how big a fan she was.

Katrina Kaif's latest nude motion picture, not yet released

Katrina Kaif's latest nude motion picture, not yet released: In an X-clusive scoop for your Bollywood correspondent, the lovely Katrina Kaif's latest nude video, not yet released, has somehow 'landed on his desk'! Known throughout film city for his rave reviews might he have been able to have called in a favour or two, who knows? Or, could it have been his extensive contacts in Cannes sending him a Christmas present?

However it got there, his good fortune could soon be yours - read the text carefully looking for the hidden answerthen see the competition questions at the end of this report to win this exclusive recording of what will be the 'film of the decade'!.

Boomtime for Katrina

When Katrina Kaif first set foot in India she had no idea that within seven years she would have eighteen films under her sari and have become one of the most sought after stars ever. This is even more extraordinary since she is of British Nationality; her mother is English and her father Kashmiri. Furthermore, when she arrived in India she spoke no Hindi at all.

Her first film 'Boom' was panned by the critics who called it 'all hype and little substance'. Even with the'eye-catching' cast ensemble that included such beauties as - Padma, Madhu Sapre along with Katrina, Amitabh Bachchan, and the Hollywood stunner Bo Derek, the movie failed to hold the viewer interest.

Modesty Ablaze

It is true that her films have shown her seemingly getting raunchier and raunchier, going from showing an inch of midriff to a full-blown bikini showing more and more skin. Indeed 'Katrina Kaif + Bikini' is one of the most googled combinations yielding nearly a million hits. In her last film Tees Maarkhan she performed a belly dance in which she thrust her hips as she held the onlookers mesmerised by her seduction.

Despite this on-screen persona, off screen, she feels more comfortable in not-so-revealing clothes in her personal life. The one thing she hates most is make-up (but don't tell the cosmetic companies she models for).

Boom to Zooooom!

There's no doubt that the trend in Katrina's films has been one of increasing amounts of skin. So it should come as no surprise that Katrina's latest but top secret film sees the culmination of this trend finally showing her completely naked but in the most tasteful way.

The film is made but it has yet to go on release and the producer and director are, for obvious reasons, not yet revealed. It is, however, thought to go under the working title of "Naked Desire". However, because they wish to attract a family audience this name will probably change.

The anonymous writer wrote to the Central Board of Film Control lobbying for a positive outcome of their deliberations on this film. The Board replied in the affirmative on the condition that the film should go straight to video and be silent since naked flesh alone is titillating enough but once combined with words, music and dancing it could be considered lewd. Any musical accompaniment should be played only on piano on the simple soundtrack and should be restricted to the old silent movie style although they could use music from a later period such as the 'Warsaw Concerto' and 'The Sound of Music'.

Your favourite entertainment correspondent has had exclusive access to the video (that could be yours: see above) and has the privilege of revealing it to you in all it's beauty. Please understad that this is a narration of our interpretation what essentially is a silent movie.

In 'Desire' Katrina plays Pushpah, a young village girl who is one day driving goats through the street when a handsome Prince comes through with his cortege of luxury cars. Pushed to one side she looks up and immediately falls in love with the beau in his finery who looks briefly at her straight in the eyes but ignores her, looking back at his girl on the seat beside him.

When they have driven off Pushpah, compforting her frightened goats, looks longingly into the sky at birds flying and the tear on her cheek tells all to well of her longing to be free and away from the goats and to be swept up by her handsome Prince.

We see her next dancing and singing around her overcrowded little house about her love for the Prince, joined by her many siblings and cousins. The joy is short-lived because when Pushpah's father arrives and scolds her for not working - his staring eyes and gigantic twitching moustache are enough to show his extreme anger.

When a cousin explains to him that Pushpah is dancing because she is in love with a Prince he sends Pushpah, now in tears, to bed telling her not to be so stupid. What would a Prince want with a goat girl? The sad and tearful Pushpah cries herself to sleep.

In a dream she is visited by her dead grandmother who, by movements of her very expressive bushy eyebrows and face tells her that if she wants the Prince to desire her and her father to approve she must bathe in the waters of a sacred lake where once bathed the God Ganesh. The location is known only to the local good-time girl Geeta Maneeta. Geeta having a squint has only been able to make a living by regularly bathing in the lake once a year to adjust her wayward eyes.

Imploring the older and more worldly Geeta to take her to the lake, Pushpah sings of her love for the Prince and a tearful Geeta who has never known real love takes pity upon her.

The film continues with the adventures of Pushpah and Geeta during their perigrinations through forests of Assam and mountains of Tibet in search of the sacred lake. This includes a dance interlude with a Yak and a run-in with an evil itinerant vegetable seller, a distant relative. He threatens to tell Pushpah's father. However, after dancing in the street with the local peasants and singing 'Oh no you won't' in seven different dialects (all subtitled), Pushpah finally persuades him of the error of his ways.

The nude scene comes when Pushpah and Geeta mount the brow of a wooded hill and look down into a green and flowering valley where they see the sky blue lake stretched before them. The camera stays on the hill as the two girls descend towards the water, casting off items of clothing as they go and chanting praise to Ganesh. They reach the shore of the lake where they are finally completely naked and distant on the shore making an offering to the God. The camera zooms in toward their curvaceous beauty and we gradually see the contours of their silhouetted breasts as they face each other embracing in soft focus. The camera comes closer and closer and finally when all their nude beauty is visible to the naked eye the two are already in the lake but not before the lens reveals a fleeting view of a breast and the shadowy delight of two lissom youg females frolicking together with joy in the water.

As the two girls, radiant and glowing are dressing, the prince (played by relative newcomer Gunjee Wunjee) and his Major Domo (another newbie Kishore Purbhoo) turn up in a large chrome-plated 4x4 out on a Tiger hunt. Immediately taken by the beauty of Pushpah, the sacred waters having done the trick for her and Geeta, the Prince sweeps her up and his Major Domo is immediately smitten by Geeta.

They drive to the Prince's hunting camp and filled with joy dance together around a large Banyan tree before being joined, as if from nowhere, by all their families who dance with them. Even the vegetable seller sitting in a corner with Pushpah's miraculously materialised Grandmother is laughing over old times and obviously very happy for the young Pushpah.

The film ends with the four happy newly-weds in a large golden coach pulled by white horses driving off into the distance and to a happy and prosperous future.

Although not on general release yet, the film was entered for the Cannes Zoom* Award for tasteful photography and cinematography. It won first prize for its silence and the skill and taste with which the cameraman depicted the naked bodies of the two beautiful actresses. The musical score too received special mention for originality particularly the Bhangra Concert something very difficult to pull-off on a piano.

Hema Malini: I had a wonderful time regulating Dharamji

Hema Malini: I had a wonderful time regulating Dharamji: Directing your husband and daughter could have its tricky moments and so it was for Hema Malini too. But it was enormously enjoyable and everything eventually fell into place, says the Bollywood diva and director whose forthcoming ‘Tell Me Oh Khuda’ stars husband Dharmendra and daughter Esha Deol.

‘Directing Dharamji was superb. In the beginning, however, he did not listen to me. He used to ask me ‘What is this, what is that’. Then I used to tell him that I want it like this, so just do it. So he realised I knew the job and then left it entirely to me. He didn’t interfere at all after that,’ Hema, who has wielded the megaphone after 18 years for the movie, told IANS in an interview.

The crackling chemistry between the couple was in evidence in blockbusters like ‘Seeta Aur Geeta’, ‘Sholay’, ‘Razia Sultan’ and ‘Pratigya’. Hema, 62, who earlier directed the Shah Rukh Khan-Divya Bharti-starrer ‘Dil Aashna Hai’ in 1992, is making ‘Tell Me Oh Khuda’ for her daughter Esha.

‘I’m very excited about my film. It’s a very interesting story of a girl’s passionate quest to know her origins. The film might get delayed a little bit because of the whole process of change in directors. But I’m trying to release it latest by March,’ said the actress, looking graceful as ever in a green silk sari.

She has roped in Arjan Bajwa, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Vinod Khanna and Rishi Kapoor for the film. It was earlier being directed by Mayur Puri but Hema decided to take the reins in her own hands. The film is in the post-production stage and work is expected to get over by Jan 10.

How was it directing Esha? ‘We have a different relationship on the sets, but still we are mother and daughter and so that does come across. After every scene she used to ask me if it was okay or not. It was really a pleasure directing her and the whole process was very sweet,’ said Hema. That’s not all what is keeping the multi-faceted actress occupied. She is also producing a TV show for Colors called ‘Maati Ki Banno’, which hit the small screens Monday.

This is her first television show in eight years. In the past, she has produced shows like ‘Nupur’, ‘Women of India’ and ‘Aap Ki Saheli’ as well as the Marathi shows ‘Songti’ and ‘Umberta’.Discussing her long absence from the small screen, the actress, who was a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP, said: ‘Nothing great came across. Also, I got busy with parliament. I had to spend time there. My term got over last September and next month this happened.’

The show follows the journey of an orphan girl from Mauritius married into a family in Bihar and details her struggles with her new life overshadowed by secrets that haunt her husband’s family. So is it difficult to manage direction, production, dance shows and the family?

The multi-tasker says she manages it all. ‘You need to take out time for everything. If you want to, you can manage things and that’s what I do. I’m very happy with whatever I have done in the past and whatever I am doing now. But, yes, there are times when I feel like going away to some place for some time, doing just nothing.

‘However, that’s just a momentary thing because we are creative people and we can’t sit without doing anything for long,’ added Hema, whose younger daughter Ahana has evinced interest in becoming a director.

Rani Mukherji new style namaskar to Madhuri Dixit

Rani Mukherji new style namaskar to Madhuri Dixit: Rani Mukherji bowed down to Madhuri Dixit doing a full namaskar, laying level on the deck in front of her. This week's Jhalak Dikhla Jaa appears to be everything about lady capacity. Several perfect Bollywood actresses Rani Mukherji and Vidya Balan will join the magnificent judges Madhuri Dixit and Malaika Arora Khan in this week's scene. As a single unit they shape an imposing female faction for a captivating show.
While both Rani Mukherji and Vidya Balan were absolutely elated to meet the original Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit, the senior actress went a step further. A self-confessed Madhuri Dixit fan, Rani Mukherji went ahead to the extent of bowing down to her original inspiration doing a full namaskar, laying flat on the floor in front of her. In complete awe of the actress, Rani Mukherji says, "Madhuri Dixit has been my all time favourite actress. I loved the way she acted and danced". The duo also performed together on the 'Dola Re Dola' song from Devdas.

Interestingly this week three promising contestants along with their respective choreographers will set the stage of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa ablaze by delivering far-fetched and implausible performances. Not one but three participants will turn out to be the show-stealers and achieve a perfect score of 30 on 30 this time on Jhalak. This will be for the very first time in the history of Jhalak that three performances will pull off perfect scores at the same time in one episode.

Ajay Devgn & Katrina Kaif high paid actors in bollywood film industries

Ajay Devgn & Katrina Kaif high paid actors in bollywood film industries: India's first Bollywood channel ETC is all set to unveil ETC BOLLYWOOD BUSINESS AWARDS 2010 on 28th December, 2010. The first of its kind awards ceremony in this country; ETC Bollywood Business Awards 2010 will judge Bollywood on the basis of business the industry has generated in year 2010.
The Indian Film Industry has grown multifold over the years. 2010 has seen more than 100 film releases. ETC Bollywood Business Awards 2010 celebrates this augmentation in the industry but with a difference. Till date, awards were given to the merchants of dream on the basis of their performance but ETC Bollywood Business Awards 2010 is a path breaking initiative that evaluates the industry players on the basis of BO performance.

The Bollywood Business Awards 2010 will identify and award on the base of how much money the contender has being able to earn and will take in to consideration the economic quotient as a cornerstone for mapping the success of a movie. This will be the first time in India where an initiative has sought to recognize marketers, distributors, production houses and exhibitors who are equally responsible for the success of a film, in addition to actors, actresses and directors.

'Bollywood is an industry. Every Friday its movies are released and the cine-goers pass verdict whether they buy it or not. And as is common to any other industry, Bollywood should also be judged accordingly. Presently, in India, all those who represent the industry, actors, musicians, directors, et al, have only been judged on creative parameters. No one had thought of evaluating them on how much business they had generated!

Having identified this opportunity in the evaluation system, we decided to explore it. Thus was born the concept of ETC Bollywood Business Awards 2010. Such an evaluation will bring forward the workings of Bollywood as an industry. Behind the shine of glamour and creativity lies a lot of hard work, technical wizardry, marketing and strategic initiatives. Movie making is an art, getting audiences to pay to watch it and make it a hit is commerce. It is our belief that the viewers should appreciate both these facets of Bollywood.' said Anurag Bedi, Business Head, ETC.

With innovative categories such as Marketing (best marketed film of the year), Distribution (special award for film distribution) and Promotion (most successful banner/corporate house/production house of the year), this is one awards initiative that is sure to generate interest amongst the industry as well as the public.

An emotional Ajay Devgn, winner of The Most Profitable Actor (Male) Award said,' I normally never go to pick up an award but I am here to take this because this is first business award in Bollywood. Figures talk, you cannot manipulate it, you cannot play games with it. ETC has been very good with their figures; they have been very good with their stuff, so here I am taking this award.' The veteran actor has 5 releases under his belt this year and except AAKROSH, all his movies have set the BO registers ringing.

'This is a welcome initiative. The best thing about this initiative is that it is based on facts and figures. The basic parameter of ETC Bollywood Business Awards eliminates any scope of opinions and manipulations while deciding the winner. It is a fair assessment of the recipient's work and his popularity and mass appeal. I appreciate ETC for having come up with an award initiative along such parameters,' said an excited Arbaaz Khan, winner of the Most Successful Producer and Top Grossing Film awards, for his runaway hit DABANGG.

In appreciation to Hollywood's growing India connect; ETC Bollywood Business Awards 2010 will also recognize the most successful Hollywood film of the year, with INCEPTION, THE SOCIAL NETWORK and THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA being the front runners.

Sonakshi Sinha's demand in bollywood film makers

Sonakshi Sinha's demand in bollywood film makers: Sonakshi Sinha is the flavour of the season. 2011 looks like a terrific year for this star kid. She starts to shoot Joker with Akshay Kumar early in the year.

She joins the unit of Race-2 in July with Saif Ali Khan and then goes into Kick with Salman Khan.

Rumours say that she is also kicked about the fact that she is being considered for Kunal Kohli's film with Shahid Kapoor, Prabhu Devaa's film with the Khiladi Kumar...and wait there is more.

We now hear that Sonakshi may be seen in Anurag Basu's film Silence (the title is being changed shortly) alongwith Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.

Yup, this is the same film that Katrina Kaif turned down because she felt that Piggy Chops had a better role than her. Neither Sonakshi nor her manager are willing to comment on her films with Shahid and Ranbir. But the industry is buzzing with the news already.

King Khan and Rohit Shetty to work together for comedy Sequel

King Khan and Rohit Shetty to work together for comedy Sequel: Rohit Shetty very well known for his comedy flicks of Golmaal series is a great friend and more than family to superstar Ajay Devgn.

Almost every film of his has Ajay in it be it his first film Zameen, Sunday, Golmaa-1, 2, 3 or All the Best. Reportedly Rohit these days has been approached by Shahrukh Khan who apparently loved his work in Golmaal-3.

He has been offered to direct endorsements ads for Red Chillies and also an offer to be a part of the board of directors. They have also been consistently meeting as Rohit reportedly has expressed a desire to do a comedy flick with him.
